I’m excited to share with my panel of Panelman readers, that Walls and Ceilings magazine published an article I wrote in its October issue. Read it here!

As you know, I’m trying to ignite dialogue about new and innovative panel and lamination materials. In the article, I talk about the challenges of getting a new product – like magnesium oxide board – to be accepted in the building and construction industry. I’d love to hear your feedback on the article, and on the topics I brought up!

    Hi Frred (“Panel Man),

My name is Ephrem and I’m from Washington, DC. First I wanted to say thank you for what you’re doing. You’re giving us very useful information. I wanted to share my interest of Magnesium Oxide (Mgo) board/panels with you. I recently visited my homeland Ethiopia and saw the construction boom in residential and commercial properties. However, the construction boom I witnessed did not exited me do to the traditional materials such as stones, concrete and rebar are being used even for interior walls. Just like Anuj from India I want to introduce different building materials such as Mgo or lighter, more energy efficient to Ethiopia. Me and my partners are in the process of writing a business plan to manufacture and sell Magnesium Oxide Board in Ethiopia. What recommendation can you give me?
